Nature In Color

Nature in Color  has been developed this year to show off some of the gifts life has given me.  Just a glimpse of life so quickly gone .  I have been photographing nature since 1973, and this has allowed me a close contact with nature.  I am Janis Osborne and this is what I have seen for those who would like to look over my shoulder and study nature.  I have over 40,000 shots and am proud of many of them. I am not in the business of selling photos but would be open to that also.  My nature business is to photograph all forms of nature so I can later see in detail what I found that day. I shoot mostly for detail but have a creative side which sometimes may bring out the most of the photograph which might be a little more colorful than under the original light.  I want everyone to see what I have seen and find out as much as they can from the photos about the subject.
Here is a link to a gallery that is a sample of different subjects.

The first sets of photos are of insects. I will continue to add images to the database as I put the images together in groups. The groups will be of cats, landscape, birds, dragonflies, NHRA Drag Racing, mammals, reptiles, flowers and more.  I am also working on naming my bugs but that has been delayed to enable me to get my photos on the internet, later I will replace them with identification as I label them.   Some of these guys look very much alike and I am sometimes following someone else’s descriptions which I have found is not always correct.      Please e-mail me at k4ats@charter.net or call 770-497-9303.

I have been using Nikon cameras since I bought my first one in a pawn shop.  Now I am using the Nikon D700 and lens sizes from 24mm to 500mm. I have a 200mm micro Nikor which is my best macro lens. Equipment evolves into the best I could afford at any time in my life.  Film to digital you use the same great principals to producing very detailed work.  I love being the technician behind the camera, controlling the shots. If at first you do not get what you want you must keep trying until you conquer your subject.
